These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShutterPost, operated by MegaPix Design Group, LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), including the website, the web app, and the ShutterPost mobile apps for iOS and Android. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use ShutterPost.
ShutterPost is a social media automation platform for photographers and visual artists. It watches a folder you designate in Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive, generates AI captions and hashtags, enhances photos with AI, creates short-form videos, and publishes your content to Instagram, Facebook Pages, TikTok, and YouTube on a schedule you configure.
Each social and storage integration is independent. You choose which ones to connect.
Your use of ShutterPost is also subject to the terms and policies of each platform you connect, since ShutterPost acts on your behalf with those platforms.
To use ShutterPost you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to use ShutterPost. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Notify us immediately at support@shutterpost.net if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
The ShutterPost apps for iOS and Android are free to download and require a ShutterPost account, which you can create in the app or on our website. Subscriptions and credits are purchased on our website; the apps do not offer purchases.
If you download an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the apps, their content, maintenance, or support, and are not responsible for any claims relating to the apps. Your use of the apps must also comply with the App Store or Google Play terms that apply to you.
You keep full ownership of the photos, videos, and other content you use with ShutterPost. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to access, process, and transmit your content only as needed to operate the service: reading files from your connected cloud storage, sending them to the AI providers that power the features you use, and publishing them to the accounts you connect.
We do not claim ownership of your content, use it for advertising, share it beyond what the service requires, or use it to train AI models.

ShutterPost is an authorized integration with Meta's platforms. Your use of ShutterPost with Instagram and Facebook is subject to Meta's Platform Terms and each platform's Terms of Use. By connecting your accounts, you authorize ShutterPost to act on your behalf within the permissions you grant.
ShutterPost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.
ShutterPost integrates with TikTok's Content Posting API. Your use of ShutterPost with TikTok is subject to TikTok's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and platform policies. By connecting your TikTok account, you authorize ShutterPost to publish video content on your behalf.
TikTok accepts only video content through the Content Posting API, so photo-only posts cannot be published to TikTok through ShutterPost.
ShutterPost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance Ltd.
ShutterPost uses the YouTube API Services to publish videos, including Shorts, to your YouTube channel. By connecting YouTube, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and you acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy. You are responsible for making sure the videos you publish comply with YouTube's Community Guidelines.
ShutterPost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC.
ShutterPost integrates with Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft OneDrive to watch a folder for new content. By connecting a service, you grant ShutterPost read-only access to the folder you designate. Your use of these integrations is also subject to Dropbox's Terms of Service, Google's Terms of Service, and Microsoft's Services Agreement.
ShutterPost's access to Google user data follows Google's Limited Use requirements, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never write to, modify, or delete anything in your cloud storage.
ShutterPost uses AI to generate captions, hashtags, enhanced images, videos, and voiceovers. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before it is published. By approving and queuing content, you confirm it meets your standards and complies with the policies of the platforms you publish to.
We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate for your audience, or free of errors. AI tools are provided to assist your creative work, not to replace your editorial judgment.
ShutterPost is a paid subscription service. Current pricing is shown at shutterpost.net. Subscriptions and credits are purchased on our website.
Some features, including AI video generation, AI image enhancement, and high-resolution enhancement, use credits that are included with your plan or purchased separately. Credits are non-refundable. Enhancement credits included with your plan reset at the start of each month, so unused plan credits do not carry over, and plan credits are used before purchased credits. Purchased credits do not expire while your account is active. Credits are deducted only when an action completes successfully. On Agency plans, enhancement credits are shared by all of the account's client workspaces.
High-resolution enhancement output is delivered to your device. It is not stored on our servers and cannot be recovered after download.
To keep ShutterPost fast and affordable for everyone, some features have limits, which are shown on our pricing page and may change with notice:
We may limit or suspend use that is automated, abusive, or far beyond normal use of the service.
Agency plan subscribers can create and manage multiple client workspaces ("client accounts") in one ShutterPost account. Each workspace has its own social account connections, cloud storage folder, posting schedule, and settings.
The Agency plan includes 3 client accounts. Additional client accounts are $10 per month each (or $120 per year on annual plans), added to your subscription and prorated. Agency+ includes unlimited client accounts. If your plan changes and you have more client accounts than it includes, the extra accounts are paused (not deleted) until you add client accounts, remove clients, or change plans.
As an agency subscriber, you are responsible for using client workspaces in line with these Terms, including getting proper authorization from your clients to post on their behalf. We are not a party to any agreement between you and your clients.
We aim to keep ShutterPost available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be unavailable because of maintenance, technical issues, or outages at the platforms and providers we rely on.
We are not liable for missed posts, lost followers, or other consequences of downtime or of limits imposed by third-party platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
ShutterPost is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that AI-generated content will meet your expectations, that posts will publish at exact scheduled times, or that enhanced images or generated videos will meet professional standards.
You use the service at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MegaPix Design Group, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of ShutterPost will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
You can delete your account at any time from Preferences in the web app or mobile apps, or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your subscription lapses beyond the grace period, or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
When your account is deleted, any active subscription is canceled and your data is permanently deleted after a 7-day grace period, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or with a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of ShutterPost after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in good faith. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
